Building Star Trek
When Star Trek aired in September of 1966, it showed us for the very first time an unimaginable world of sliding doors, hand-held communicators, and tiny discs that stored endless amounts of data. It also brought us the first black female in a leading role, and the very first interracial kiss on American television. 50 years after it first hit the airwaves, BUILDING STAR TREK explores the cultural and technological influences this groundbreaking series had on our world today.
