Urbanite Masa Takei was fascinated with the idea of a simpler, self-sufficient lifestyle. He wondered if he “had what it takes” to build a shelter and to hunt for his food, with no running water, no electricity or other comforts of home. Setting out for a year to live and learn off grid in a remote, northern area, Masa takes viewers along for the entire experience.
