Here, the world’s most southerly bottlenose dolphins and the rare Fiordland crested penguins make their home, while Great white sharks patrol the coasts and on the ocean floor a mass migration of spider crabs getS under way. These creatures must be tough to endure the extreme weather here at the best of times, but increasingly unpredictable climate patterns are making their lives even harder.
