Boss Shark

Scientists have little understanding of the social dynamics of great white sharks. Normally lone hunters, they congregate at certain times of the year and suddenly become social creatures. For the first time, shark experts Dr Riley Elliott and Kori Burkhardt host a thrilling competition unlike any other, aiming to uncover which male great white shark reigns as the alpha in the pack. This unique showdown tests the sharks’ speed, hunting prowess, and fearlessness to uncover the leader of the pack who will get first mating rights with the big females when breeding season begins. Throughout the competition five key sharks go head-to-head in a series of contests, while the massive females - up to twice the size of the males - watch and judge.
