Dances With Cranes

Sea to Sea Productions

1 x 60' 4K

DANCES WITH CRANES follows the incredible journey of the whooping crane, one of the world’s rarest and most ancient birds, predating humans by tens of thousands of years. Once nearly extinct, with fewer than 20 remaining in the 1940s, these majestic creatures are still fighting for survival. This film explores the remarkable efforts of scientists who will go to any length to save them—whether performing mating dances or jumping from helicopters to study them in the wild. Over the course of a year in the life of three whooping crane chicks, we witness the challenges of bringing a species back from the brink of extinction, from the early conservation efforts to new threats posed by climate change.
